Rolling Stone Illustration

This illustration is of a favorite musician of mine: Bob Seger. The task was to create an illustration of an artist to put on the cover of a Rolling Stone magazine issue, and there were no parameters on how to go about it, as long as it looked like the artist. I wanted to emulate the emotion and energy in Seger’s music, so I chose to create a loose digital painting of him during one of his performances. While researching and finding pictures of the artist to work with, I came across his website, and the colors blue and red appeared throughout a looping video. I chose to highlight those colors as part of Seger’s brand.
